Mouse Matrix metalloproteinase-20 (Mmp20) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of mouse Matrix metalloproteinase-20 (MMP-20), also known as Enamel metalloproteinase or Enamelysin. The kit is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is specific for natural and recombinant mouse MMP-20. Detection is colorimetric.

The manufacturer's datasheet reports a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.085ng/mL. Reported precision is an intra-assay CV of 7.3% and an inter-assay CV of 9.0%. Spike-and-recovery is given as serum 90% (range 84-96%) and plasma 92% (range 86-98%). Linearity has been demonstrated across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, with observed ranges of 82-110%, 83-116% and 103-125% respectively across the tested dilutions.

MMP-20 degrades amelogenin, the major protein component of the enamel matrix, as well as cartilage extracellular matrix components including aggrecan and COMP, and is described as playing a central role in tooth enamel formation.
