Mouse Matrix metalloproteinase-16 (Mmp16) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative detection of mouse Matrix metalloproteinase-16 (MMP16). The colorimetric assay is validated for use with mouse samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and shows specificity for natural and recombinant mouse MMP16.

Manufacturer data report a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL. MMP16 is an endopeptidase that degrades components of the extracellular matrix such as collagen type III and fibronectin, activates progelatinase A, and contributes to matrix remodeling of blood vessels. It has no effect on type I, II, IV and V collagen, but upon interaction with CSPG4 it may be involved in degradation and invasion of type I collagen by melanoma cells. The protein corresponds to UniProt entry Q9WTR0 and is also known as Membrane-type matrix metalloproteinase 3, Membrane-type-3 matrix metalloproteinase, MT-MMP 3, MT3-MMP, and MMP-16.
