Mouse Matrilysin (Mmp7) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Matrilysin (MMP7), a protease involved in tissue remodelling and inflammation that has been implicated in cancer metastasis, inflammatory bowel disease and pulmonary fibrosis. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with detection achieved via a colorimetric readout at 450 nm.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 41.1 pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.7% and inter-assay CV is 6.9%. Across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions, linearity ranges from 93-118% in serum, 94-119% in EDTA plasma and 99-117% in heparin plasma. Recovery averages 80% for serum (range 80-86%) and 82% for plasma (range 80-88%). The kit shows specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Matrilysin.

The kit is for research use only. The target protein (UniProt Q10738, NCBI Gene ID 17393, molecular weight 29,755 Da) is a secreted metalloproteinase localised to the extracellular space and extracellular matrix that degrades casein, gelatins of types I, III, IV and V, and fibronectin, and activates procollagenase. Research applications are centred on cancer, with measuring MMP7 levels offering insights into disease progression and the development of novel therapeutic strategies. Kit components include a dismountable 8×12-strip ELISA microplate, lyophilised standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, stored at either -20°C or 4°C as indicated.
