Mouse Mast cell protease 8 (Mcpt8) ELISA Kit

Designed for the precise quantitative measurement of mouse Mast Cell Protease 8 (MCPT8, also known as mMCP-8), this sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a colorimetric detection method with absorbance read at 450 nm. MCPT8 is a secreted serine-type endopeptidase associated with mast cell activation, the immune response and inflammatory processes including allergic reactions. The assay measures MCPT8 in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, and is intended for research use only.

The assay has a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.084 ng/mL. Reported precision is 8.3% intra-assay CV and 10.3% inter-assay CV. Serum linearity spans 87–97% at 1:2 through 100–111% at 1:16 dilution, with broadly comparable values in EDTA and heparin plasma. Mean recovery is 91% for serum (range 85–97%) and 93% for plasma (range 87–99%). Specificity has been demonstrated against natural and recombinant mouse MCPT8 (UniProt P43430).
