Mouse MAOB/Monoamine Oxidase B ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of Monoamine Oxidase B (MAOB) in mouse samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format and is intended for research applications, including studies of MAOB's role in neurotransmitter metabolism (such as dopamine) and its association with neurological disorders such as Parkinson's disease. MAOB is also implicated in the regulation of oxidative stress and neuronal function, making it a useful biomarker in neurodegenerative disease research using mouse models.

Performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a standard curve range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. The kit is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Linearity has been validated across dilution ratios (1:2, 1:4, 1:8) in serum (88-102%, 85-104%, 86-102%), EDTA plasma (86-98%, 85-101%, 82-96%) and heparin plasma (83-97%, 85-100%, 80-95%) samples. Recovery ranges were determined as 88-104% for serum, 92-104% for EDTA plasma, and 85-98% for heparin plasma, with corresponding averages of 92%, 95% and 96%.

The assay follows a six-step protocol: equilibration of reagents, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB substrate colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and a stop reaction read at 450 nm.
