Mouse Mannose-binding protein C (Mbl2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA Kit for the quantitative measurement of mouse Mannose-binding protein C (Mbl2), a calcium-dependent lectin central to innate immune defense. The assay is for use with mouse samples and detects natural and recombinant Mbl2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 39.24 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 7.3% and an inter-assay CV of 9.5%. In dilution linearity testing, serum samples (n=5) ranged from 92-104% at 1:2 to 85-95% at 1:16; EDTA plasma (n=5) ranged from 105-114% to 101-110% across the same dilutions; heparin plasma (n=5) ranged from 96-107% to 110-119%. Spike-recovery was 87% (range 81-93%) for serum and 89% (range 83-95%) for plasma. MBL2 is implicated in lectin complement pathway activation and in the uptake of late apoptotic and necrotic cells by macrophages, making this kit a relevant tool for immunology research.
