Mouse Mannan-binding lectin serine protease 1 (Masp1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA Kit designed for the quantitative measurement of Mouse Mannan-binding lectin serine protease 1 (MASP1). The assay is intended for research use only and is suited to immunology studies investigating the lectin pathway of complement, a key arm of innate immune defence. MASP1 functions as an endopeptidase within this pathway, where binding of mannan-binding lectin and ficolins to sugar moieties on pathogens triggers activation of associated proteases that may in turn activate MASP2, C2 or directly C3.

The kit detects natural and recombinant mouse Mannan-binding lectin serine protease 1 and is compatible with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method with a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.058ng/mL, as stated in the manufacturer documentation. The target is a secreted homodimer (Uniprot P98064) located in the extracellular region, where it participates in complement activation and the innate immune response.
