Mouse Major vault protein (Mvp) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of Mouse Major vault protein (MVP) in mouse samples, using a colorimetric detection method. The assay is compatible with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and shows specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Major vault protein.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.08 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.4%, and an inter-assay CV of 8.7%. Linearity in serum (N=5) was 80–90%, 93–104%, 91–101% and 80–90% at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 respectively; in EDTA plasma (N=5) 98–108%, 109–117%, 94–105% and 115–115%; and in heparin plasma (N=5) 93–105%, 97–107%, 107–116% and 108–118%. Mean recovery was 87% in serum (range 81–93%) and 89% in plasma (range 83–95%).

Major vault protein is the principal component of vault particles, large ribonucleoprotein complexes that have been implicated in nucleo-cytoplasmic transport, scaffolding for proteins involved in signal transduction, multidrug resistance and immune response modulation. MVP down-regulates IFNG-mediated STAT1 signaling and subsequent activation of JAK, and also down-regulates SRC activity and signaling through MAP kinases.
