Lymphotoxin-beta, also referenced as Tumor necrosis factor C, TNF-C, LT-beta, Tnfc, and Tnfsf3, is described as a cytokine that binds to LTBR/TNFRSF3 and may play a specific role in immune response regulation, providing the membrane anchor for the attachment of the heterotrimeric complex to the cell surface. It is a single-pass type II membrane protein reported to form a heterotrimer of either two LTB and one LTA subunits, or two LTA and one LTB subunits. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Lymphotoxin-beta.

The stated detection range is 78-5000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 40.4pg/mL. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. UniProt reference: P41155.
