Also known as luteinizing hormone subunit beta (LH-B) or Lutropin beta chain, LHB is the unique beta chain of a heterodimer glycoprotein hormone that confers biological specificity to lutropin, follitropin, thyrotropin and gonadotropin. The hormone promotes spermatogenesis and ovulation by stimulating the testes and ovaries to synthesize steroids, making this assay relevant for research in reproductive biology and endocrinology.

The kit accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Lutropin subunit beta. Key performance figures include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.164ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.7% and an inter-assay CV of 7.2%. Recovery averages 101% (95-107%) in serum and 103% (97-109%) in plasma. Dilution linearity in serum spans 81-116%, in EDTA plasma 98-119%, and in heparin plasma 97-120% across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions.
