Mouse LRP5 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a sandwich ELISA, double antibody kit for the detection and quantification of Lipoprotein Receptor-related Protein 5 (LRP5) in mouse samples. LRP5 is implicated in the Wnt signaling pathway, with reported roles in bone formation, glucose metabolism and lipid homeostasis, and dysregulation of the protein has been linked in the research literature to osteoporosis, diabetes and Alzheimer's disease, making it a useful biomarker for studies in these areas.

The assay is read colorimetrically and is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Manufacturer-reported sensitivity is 46.875 pg/mL with a measuring range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Storage is at 2-8°C for 12 months. Reported linearity in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n = 5) at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 88-97% / 85-104% / 88-102% (serum), 85-96% / 83-97% / 92-100% (EDTA plasma) and 84-99% / 86-94% / 81-100% (heparin plasma). Recovery in the same matrices (n = 5) is 90-105% (average 98) for serum, 88-104% (average 96) for EDTA plasma, and 92-102% (average 99) for heparin plasma.

The workflow comprises primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes at 37°C, TMB color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution addition.
