Mouse Low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 8 (Lrp8) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA Kit designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 8 (LRP8), also referred to as Apolipoprotein E receptor 2, LRP-8, or Apoer2. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. Specificity is directed against natural and recombinant mouse LRP8.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 0.312-20ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.158ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.2% and inter-assay CV is 9.3%. Linearity in serum (N=5) ranges from 107-116% at 1:2 to 93-103% at 1:16; EDTA plasma (N=5) shows 104-114% at 1:2 to 91-101% at 1:16; and heparin plasma (N=5) shows 102-112% at 1:2 to 97-107% at 1:16. Recovery averages 99% (range 93-105%) for serum and 101% (range 95-107%) for plasma.

LRP8 is described as a cell surface receptor for Reelin and apolipoprotein E-containing ligands and a key component of the Reelin pathway governing neuronal layering of the forebrain during embryonic brain development. The protein also binds the receptor-associated protein (RAP) and interacts with DAB1 and PCSK9, and is associated with cardiovascular research. The kit is for research use only.
