Mouse Low-density lipoprotein receptor (Ldlr) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with mouse samples, with specificity for natural and recombinant mouse LDLR.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.083ng/mL. Intra CV is reported at 7.5% and Inter CV at 9.4%. Recovery averages 87% (range 81-93%) in serum and 89% (range 83-95%) in plasma. Linearity has been evaluated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.

LDLR is a cell-surface protein that binds LDL, the major cholesterol-carrying lipoprotein of plasma, and transports it into cells by endocytosis through clathrin-coated pits. Dysregulation of LDLR function has been linked to hypercholesterolemia and cardiovascular disease. The product is intended for research use only.
