Mouse Lithostathine-1 (Reg1) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich-format ELISA kit is designed for the precise quantitation of mouse lithostathine-1 (REG1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. The kit is intended for research use only and supports studies of pancreatic function and disease, given REG1's role in regulating pancreatic exocrine secretion and its reported dysregulation in conditions such as pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer.

Across its analytical performance, the assay reports a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.2% and inter-assay CV is 8.0%. Spike-and-recovery testing yielded an average recovery of 109% (range 103-115%) for serum and 111% (range 105-117%) for plasma. The assay detects both natural and recombinant mouse lithostathine-1.

REG1 is a secreted product of the Reg1 gene (UniProt P43137) with a molecular weight of 18,519 Da. Also referred to as islet of Langerhans regenerating protein 1, pancreatic stone protein 1, pancreatic thread protein 1, REG, PSP, or PTP, the protein may act as an inhibitor of spontaneous calcium carbonate precipitation and falls within the cell biology research area.
