Mouse Lipase maturation factor 1 (Lmf1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative determination of mouse Lipase Maturation Factor 1 (LMF1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay detects natural and recombinant mouse LMF1 and is intended for research use only, supporting studies of lipid metabolism, obesity and metabolic disease in mouse models.

Validated performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78-50 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.401 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 6.1% and an inter-assay CV of 8.3%. Linearity has been assessed in serum (96-106% / 103-113% / 106-116% / 92-102% at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16 dilutions, N=5), EDTA plasma (88-98% / 107-117% / 100-109% / 113-123%) and heparin plasma (102-112% / 90-100% / 102-112% / 93-102%). Recovery averages are reported as 93% (range 87-99%) for serum and 95% (range 89-101%) for plasma.

LMF1 is a multi-pass endoplasmic reticulum membrane protein involved in the maturation and transport of active lipoprotein lipase (LPL), with each LMF1 molecule chaperoning 50 or more LPL molecules. LMF1 interacts with LPL and SEL1L, and belongs to the lipase maturation factor family (UniProt Q3U3R4; molecular weight 20,884 Da). Defects in LMF1 are the cause of combined lipase deficiency, and dysregulation of LMF1 has been linked to metabolic disorders such as obesity and hyperlipidemia. Absorbance is read at 450 nm.
