The hepatic lipase enzyme encoded by the LIPC gene plays a central role in lipoprotein remodeling, hydrolyzing triglycerides and phospholipids in HDL and remnant particles to influence circulating lipid profiles. Assay Genie's mouse-specific immunoassay supports quantitative measurement of this enzyme in research samples drawn from serum samples, plasma, and tissue homogenate sources, enabling studies of hepatic lipid handling in mouse models of metabolic disease, atherosclerosis, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. The colorimetric readout is generated through an antibody-based capture workflow performed on a microplate, with reagents supplied for 96 individual determinations per kit. Researchers commonly apply this assay to track hepatic lipase expression in liver lysates and circulating lipoproteins during diet-induced obesity, gene knockout, or pharmacological intervention studies. Intended for in vitro research use only, the reagents should be handled according to the manufacturer's storage guidance to preserve antibody activity across the workflow.
