Description

Developed by Assay Genie for the in vitro quantitative determination of Mouse Luteinizing Hormone (LH), this chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) kit is intended for use with serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay follows a Sandwich-CLIA format: an antibody specific to Mouse LH is pre-coated on the microplate, standards or samples are added to the wells, and detection is achieved with a biotinylated detection antibody and an Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate. After washing, a chemiluminescent substrate is added and the resulting Relative Light Unit (RLU) signal, measured on a chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer, is positively associated with the concentration of Mouse LH in the sample. LH is also known under the synonyms Lutropin and Lutrophin.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.19 mIU/mL and a detection range of 0.31-20 mIU/mL, with a total assay time of 3.5 hours and a required sample volume of 100 µL. Specificity studies showed no significant cross-reactivity or interference between Mouse LH and analogues in the samples tested.

Spike-and-recovery was assessed across three matrix types: serum (n=5) gave an average recovery of 102% (range 95-109%), EDTA plasma (n=5) gave 94% (range 87-100%), and cell culture media (n=5) gave 99% (range 93-107%). Precision was evaluated with three samples at n=20 each; intra-assay CV ranged from 8.02% to 9.08%, and inter-assay CV ranged from 7.78% to 10.67%, in line with the kit's stated reproducibility criterion that both intra-CV and inter-CV are below 15%.
