Mouse Leukosialin (Spn) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of Mouse Leukosialin (Spn), a cell-surface glycoprotein also referred to as B-cell differentiation antigen LP-3, Leukocyte sialoglycoprotein, Lymphocyte antigen 48, Sialophorin, Ly-48, and CD43. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and uses a colorimetric detection method.

The kit has a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.159ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 5.9% and an inter-assay CV of 10.5%. Recovery averages 101% (range 95-107%) for serum and 103% (range 97-109%) for plasma. Linearity in serum spans 84-120% across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions, with EDTA plasma at 85-115% and heparin plasma at 86-119%. The assay is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and detects both natural and recombinant mouse Leukosialin.

Leukosialin is one of the major glycoproteins of thymocytes and T lymphocytes, contributing to the physicochemical properties of the T-cell surface and to lectin binding. It presents carbohydrate ligands to selectins and acts as a counter-receptor for SN/Siglec-1; during T-cell activation it is removed from the T-cell-APC contact site, suggesting a negative regulatory role in the adaptive immune response.
