Mouse Leukemia inhibitory factor (Lif) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Sandwich ELISA Kit targets Mouse Leukemia Inhibitory Factor (LIF), a key cytokine that regulates stem cell pluripotency, cell differentiation, and immune responses. Dysregulation of LIF has been implicated in diseases such as leukemia, infertility, and inflammatory disorders, making it an important biomarker for cancer research and therapeutic investigation. The kit is validated for use with mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.

Detection is performed by a colorimetric sandwich ELISA, with reactivity confirmed for mouse samples. Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.078-5 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.039 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 7.5%, and an inter-assay CV of 9.4%. Specificity covers natural and recombinant mouse LIF. Linearity was verified for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16. Recovery in serum averaged 87% (range 81-93%), and in plasma averaged 89% (range 83-95%).

LIF is also known by the synonyms Differentiation-stimulating factor and D factor, and belongs to the LIF/OSM protein family. The annotated mouse LIF (UniProt P09056) has a molecular weight of 22,287 Da and is a secreted cytokine with the capacity to induce terminal differentiation in leukemic cells, drive hematopoietic differentiation, induce neuronal cell differentiation, and stimulate acute-phase protein synthesis in hepatocytes.
