Mouse Leucyl-cystinyl aminopeptidase (Lnpep) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit applies a colorimetric detection method for the quantitative measurement of mouse Leucyl-cystinyl aminopeptidase (Lnpep), also referred to as insulin-regulated aminopeptidase, oxytocinase (OTase) or cystinyl aminopeptidase. The assay is intended for use with mouse samples including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, and detects both natural and recombinant mouse Leucyl-cystinyl aminopeptidase.

Stated performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.182ng/mL. Reported precision is an intra-assay coefficient of variation (CV) of 6.2% and an inter-assay CV of 7.6%. Dilutional linearity in serum (N=5) has been reported at 93-103% (1:2), 102-112% (1:4), 85-95% (1:8) and 101-112% (1:16); in EDTA plasma (N=5) at 85-94% (1:2), 117-127% (1:4), 100-110% (1:8) and 91-103% (1:16); and in heparin plasma (N=5) at 106-116% (1:2), 91-101% (1:4), 86-98% (1:8) and 103-113% (1:16). Average recovery is reported at 92% for serum (range 86-98%) and 94% for plasma (range 88-100%).

Mouse LNPEP functions by releasing N-terminal amino acids and cleaving before cysteine, leucine and other residues. It degrades peptide hormones such as oxytocin, vasopressin and angiotensin III, contributes to homeostasis during pregnancy, and is reported to cleave Met-enkephalin and dynorphin in the brain. The protein is a homodimer that binds tankyrases 1 and 2, with UniProt accession Q8C129 and a reported molecular weight of 117,304 Da. For research use only.
