Mouse LDL R/LDL Receptor ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA, double antibody assay from Assay Genie enables precise measurement of LDL-R (low-density lipoprotein receptor) levels in mouse samples. The kit is intended for metabolism research, supporting studies of lipid metabolism and cholesterol regulation, areas relevant to cardiovascular disease. It is reactive with mouse samples and validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reconstituted reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. The target protein is also known by synonyms including Ldlr, FH, FHC, and LDLCQ2, with the associated Uniprot identifier P35951.

Validated linearity and recovery data demonstrate consistent performance across sample matrices. Linearity in serum (n=5) ranged from 98-102% at 1:2, 82-101% at 1:4, and 83-98% at 1:8. EDTA plasma (n=5) showed 85-102% at 1:2, 86-101% at 1:4, and 85-100% at 1:8. Heparin plasma (n=5) gave 87-97% at 1:2, 85-99% at 1:4, and 86-95% at 1:8. Recovery was 90-104% (average 98%) in serum, 85-95% (average 92%) in EDTA plasma, and 93-104% (average 98%) in heparin plasma. The procedure involves reagent and TMB substrate equilibration to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin (SABC) incubation for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after stop solution addition.
