Mouse Lactoylglutathione lyase (Glo1) ELISA Kit

Designed for research use only, this Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative determination of mouse Lactoylglutathione lyase (Glo1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses colorimetric detection and is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Glo1. According to the manufacturer's specifications, the kit has a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 39.6pg/mL, with intra-assay CV of 5.9% and inter-assay CV of 9.8%. Dilutional linearity has been validated in serum (100-113% at 1:2; 88-98% at 1:16), EDTA plasma (103-113% at 1:2; 110-119% at 1:16) and heparin plasma (96-106% at 1:2; 106-116% at 1:16). Average recovery is 110% (range 104-116%) for serum and 112% (range 106-118%) for plasma. GLO1 is a homodimeric enzyme that catalyses the conversion of hemimercaptal, formed from methylglyoxal and glutathione, to S-lactoylglutathione, contributes to the regulation of TNF-induced transcriptional activity of NF-kappa-B, and is required for normal osteoclastogenesis. Dysregulation of GLO1 has been implicated in diabetes, cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, placing the assay within the cancer research area.
