Description

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of L-Selectin (CD62L) in mouse samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Using a double-antibody sandwich format, the assay has a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a standard range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Unopened reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

L-Selectin, also known as CD62L (synonyms include SELL, LAM-1, LECAM1, Leu-8, gp90-MEL and TQ1), is a cell adhesion molecule that facilitates the interaction between immune cells and endothelial cells during the immune response. Its expression is upregulated in inflammatory conditions, making it a useful marker for studying immune function and inflammatory disease. The kit supports research in cell biology aimed at understanding inflammatory and autoimmune mechanisms and developing potential therapeutic interventions.

Validated linearity (n = 5) covers serum at 86-98% (1:2), 85-101% (1:4) and 82-96% (1:8); EDTA plasma at 84-100%, 83-96% and 85-104%; and heparin plasma at 86-102%, 86-98% and 82-98%. Spike-and-recovery was 85-105% (mean 95%) for serum, 89-105% (mean 96%) for EDTA plasma and 86-101% (mean 93%) for heparin plasma.
