Mouse Kynureninase (Kynu) ELISA Kit

The ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of Kynureninase (KYNU) levels in mouse samples. Using a sandwich ELISA format with colorimetric detection, the kit is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids (S1). Linear performance has been characterised in serum (81-115%), EDTA plasma (80-119%), and heparin plasma (90-118%) across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 (S1).

The assay reports a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.101 ng/mL (S1). Specificity is described for natural and recombinant mouse Kynureninase (S1). The microplate-based procedure is read at 450 nm using a microplate reader (S1). Reagents are shipped at +4°C, including for international deliveries, with storage at -20°C (S3). The product is intended for research use only (S1).

Kynureninase is an enzyme of the kynurenine pathway that catalyses the cleavage of L-kynurenine and L-3-hydroxykynurenine into anthranilic acid and 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid, respectively, with a preference for the L-3-hydroxy form; the enzyme also shows cysteine-conjugate-beta-lyase activity and functions as a homodimer located in the cytoplasm (S1). Dysregulation of this pathway has been associated with neurological disorders, autoimmune diseases, and inflammation, making the kit a useful tool for studying the pathophysiology of these conditions and exploring potential therapeutic interventions (S1).
