Mouse Kit ligand (Kitlg) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie intended for the quantitative measurement of Mouse Kit ligand (Kitlg) in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a colorimetric detection method and is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Kit ligand.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.078-5ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.039ng/mL. Precision is supported by an intra-assay CV of 8.3% and an inter-assay CV of 10.2%. Linearity was demonstrated in serum (83-117%), EDTA plasma (84-113%), and heparin plasma (95-124%) at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16. Recovery averages 87% in serum (range 81-93%) and 89% in plasma (range 83-95%).

Kit ligand is the ligand for the receptor-type protein-tyrosine kinase KIT and plays an essential role in cell survival and proliferation, hematopoiesis, stem cell maintenance, mast cell development, migration and function, and melanogenesis. The protein forms a homodimer and a heterotetramer with KIT, mediating receptor dimerization and activation. Synonyms include Hematopoietic growth factor KL, Mast cell growth factor, Steel factor, Stem cell factor, c-Kit ligand, MGF, SCF, Kitl, Mgf, Sl, and Slf.
