Kim1 (Kidney Injury Molecule 1, also designated TIM-1/HAVCR1) is a type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein whose expression rises sharply on proximal tubule epithelial cells following renal tubular damage. The Assay Genie Mouse Kim1 ELISA Kit provides a quantitative immunoassay for measuring this biomarker in mouse models of acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and drug-induced nephrotoxicity.

Supplied as a complete kit configured for 96 determinations in a microplate format, the assay accepts tissue homogenates, urine, and cell culture supernatants as input material. Its mouse reactivity makes it useful for both in vivo and in vitro studies of cisplatin nephrotoxicity, ischemia-reperfusion injury, diabetic nephropathy, and biomarker discovery aimed at detecting early tubular damage.

The workflow uses a pre-coated plate to capture Kim1 from standards and unknowns, followed by a labeled detection reagent, chromogenic substrate development, and absorbance measurement for quantification against a standard curve. Each kit includes the pre-coated microplate, standard diluent, detection reagents, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution, and the product protocol.

For research use only. Reagent storage conditions and the full assay procedure are described in the kit insert supplied with the product.
