Mouse Involucrin (Ivl) ELISA Kit

Involucrin is a key protein in skin health, playing a central role in keratinization and the formation and maintenance of the skin barrier. It is part of the insoluble cornified cell envelope (CE) of stratified squamous epithelia, where it is directly or indirectly cross-linked to cornifelin (CNFN) and acts as a cytoplasmic constituent of the scaffolding of the cornified envelope. Abnormalities in involucrin levels have been linked to various skin diseases and disorders, making the analyte a relevant biomarker in dermatology and skin biology research.
