Interleukin-16 (IL-16), also termed Lymphocyte Chemoattractant Factor (LCF), is a pleiotropic cytokine central to immune regulation and inflammatory signaling. It is produced by activated lymphocytes, epithelial cells, eosinophils, and mast cells, and binds the CD4 receptor to drive chemotaxis of CD4-positive T cells.
