Recovery has been characterised in serum (average 90%, range 84-96%) and plasma (average 92%, range 86-98%), and linearity has been demonstrated across serial dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma.

Interleukin-15 is a secreted cytokine that stimulates the proliferation of T-lymphocytes, requiring interaction with components of the IL-2 receptor complex, including IL-2R beta and probably IL-2R gamma but not IL-2R alpha. The protein plays a critical role in immune cell development, activation and proliferation, making it a relevant target in immunology research covering T cell and natural killer cell biology.
