Mouse Interleukin-11 (IL-11) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Interleukin-11 (IL-11) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay is intended for research use only.

IL-11 is a secreted cytokine of the IL-6 superfamily, also known as AGIF (Adipogenesis Inhibitory Factor) and Oprelvekin. It directly stimulates the proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells and megakaryocyte progenitor cells, induces megakaryocyte maturation, and increases platelet production. IL-11 also signals through a receptor complex of IL6ST paired with either IL11RA1 or IL11RA2, activating intracellular protein kinases and STAT3, and is implicated in cancer cell proliferation.

Reported detection range is 15.6–1000 pg/mL. Reported sensitivity values across kit versions are 7.8 pg/mL, 7.1 pg/mL, and 9.375 pg/mL. Intra-assay precision is CV 5.8% with inter-assay CV 9.5% in one version, and intra-assay CV <10% with inter-assay CV <12% in another. Recovery and linearity are characterised across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma matrices. The standard workflow includes detection reagent incubations and a colorimetric read at 450 nm, making the kit suitable for immunology research covering hematopoiesis, bone metabolism, inflammation, and cancer biology.
