Mouse Interferon-induced helicase C domain-containing protein 1 (Ifih1) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Interferon-induced helicase C domain-containing protein 1 (Ifih1). It uses a colorimetric detection method and has been validated for reactivity with mouse samples. Compatible specimen types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity reported for natural and recombinant mouse Ifih1.

Performance figures quoted by the manufacturer include a detection range of 31.2-2000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 15.65pg/mL. The kit supports immunological research into a protein that acts as a cytoplasmic sensor of viral nucleic acids, activating type I interferon signalling through the MAVS pathway and contributing to antiviral responses against members of the Picornaviridae family, dengue virus, West Nile virus, reovirus and vaccinia virus. Altered Ifih1 expression is also relevant to studies of autoimmune disease, including type 1 diabetes and systemic lupus erythematosus, as well as growth inhibition in several tumour cell lines.

Storage requirements differ by component: lyophilised standard, detection reagents and the sample and assay diluents are kept at -20°C, while wash buffer, substrate and stop solution are stored at 4°C. Final absorbance is read on a micro-plate reader set to 450 nm.
