Description

From Assay Genie, this sandwich-format ELISA is intended for the quantitative measurement of mouse interferon-induced double-stranded RNA-activated protein kinase (EIF2AK2), also referred to as protein kinase R (PKR), across serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The kit is reactive with mouse samples and detects both natural and recombinant forms of the target.

EIF2AK2 (UniProt Q03963) is an IFN-induced dsRNA-dependent serine/threonine-protein kinase central to the innate antiviral immune response, with described involvement in signal transduction, apoptosis, cell proliferation and differentiation. The protein localises to the cytoplasm, nucleus and perinuclear region and is listed under the Cancer research area.

The solid-phase assay offers a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.157 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 8.3% and an inter-assay CV of 10.0%. Linearity has been characterised at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, with average recoveries of 90% for serum (range 84–96%) and 92% for plasma (range 86–98%). Kits are shipped at +4°C and stored at –20°C, are for research use only, and are typically delivered within 10–15 business days.
