Mouse Interferon alpha-1 (Ifna1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse interferon alpha-1 (IFNA1), a cytokine central to antiviral defence and immune regulation. Manufactured by Assay Genie for research use only, the kit detects IFNA1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. It shows specificity for natural and recombinant mouse interferon alpha-1 (synonym: IFN-alpha-1) and is intended for immunology research.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 7.8–500 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 4.12 pg/mL. Precision values are 3.4% intra-assay CV and 5.5% inter-assay CV. Linearity was validated across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions in serum (89–99%, 101–111%, 100–110%, 105–115%), EDTA plasma (96–106%, 92–104%, 104–114%, 97–106%) and heparin plasma (96–104%, 97–107%, 97–107%, 110–120%). Recovery is reported as 90% (84–96%) in serum and 92% (86–98%) in plasma.

IFNA1 is produced by macrophages and exerts antiviral activity by stimulating the production of a protein kinase and an oligoadenylate synthetase. Dysregulated IFNA1 levels are associated with autoimmune disorders, viral infections and inflammatory diseases, making this assay a relevant tool for biomarker studies and the development of potential therapeutic interventions.
