Mouse Intelectin 1/Omentin ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie for the accurate detection of mouse Intelectin-1, also known as omentin, this Sandwich ELISA kit uses a double-antibody format and offers a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL with a working range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Detection is colorimetric.

Intelectin-1 is a protein that plays a critical role in regulating metabolic processes and inflammation in the body, and is involved in insulin sensitivity, lipid metabolism, and immune response modulation. Studies have shown that Intelectin-1 levels are altered in conditions such as obesity, diabetes, and inflammatory disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for research and potential therapeutic interventions. The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reagents should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Linearity was evaluated at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions. Serum (n=5) yielded 90-104%, 85-102% and 86-102%; EDTA plasma (n=5) yielded 82-98%, 83-93% and 83-100%; heparin plasma (n=5) yielded 84-100%, 81-97% and 80-88%. Average recovery was 92% (range 88-96%) in serum, 94% (range 87-100%) in EDTA plasma, and 93% (range 89-98%) in heparin plasma.
