ILK is a receptor-proximal protein kinase that regulates integrin-mediated signal transduction and may act as a mediator of inside-out integrin signaling. As a focal adhesion protein forming part of the ILK-PINCH complex, ILK is considered one of the convergence points of integrin- and growth factor-signaling pathways and may be implicated in mediating cell architecture, adhesion to integrin substrates, and anchorage-dependent growth in epithelial cells. The kit is intended for research use only.
