Mouse Integrin alpha-M (Itgam) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Integrin alpha-M (Itgam) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit is for research use only and detects natural and recombinant mouse Integrin alpha-M. The target is also known by the synonyms CD11b, CD11 antigen-like family member B, CR-3 alpha chain, Cell surface glycoprotein MAC-1 subunit alpha, and Leukocyte adhesion receptor MO1.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.083 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.2%, and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Recovery in serum averaged 87% (range 81–93%) and in plasma averaged 89% (range 83–95%). Linearity in serum samples ranged from 99% to 115% across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. The kit is reactive with mouse samples and is classified within the cancer research area.

Integrin alpha-M/beta-2 is implicated in various adhesive interactions of monocytes, macrophages and granulocytes as well as in mediating the uptake of complement-coated particles. It is identical with CR-3, the receptor for the iC3b fragment of the third complement component, and also functions as a receptor for fibrinogen, factor X and ICAM1. The protein plays a critical role in mast cell development and in immune complex-mediated glomerulonephritis.
