Description

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Integrin alpha-IIb (also known as GPalpha IIb, GPIIb, CD41, and Platelet membrane glycoprotein IIb) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay shows reactivity with mouse samples and detects both natural and recombinant mouse Integrin alpha-IIb.

The kit has a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.156ng/mL. Precision is reported with an intra-assay CV of 8.0% and an inter-assay CV of 10.1%. Linearity has been validated in serum (103-112% to 107-116% across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions), EDTA plasma (98-108% to 102-111%), and heparin plasma (94-103% to 100-110%). Recovery is 83% (range 80-89%) for serum and 85% (range 80-91%) for plasma.

Integrin alpha-IIb/beta-3 functions as a receptor for fibronectin, fibrinogen, plasminogen, prothrombin, thrombospondin and vitronectin, recognizing the R-G-D sequence in a wide array of ligands. Following activation, it mediates platelet/platelet interaction through binding of soluble fibrinogen, leading to rapid platelet aggregation that physically plugs ruptured endothelial cell surface. The target is a single-pass type I membrane protein (UniProt: Q9QUM0), and the listed research area is cancer. The kit is for research use only.
