Mouse Insulin receptor substrate 4 (Irs4) ELISA Kit

Designed for the accurate measurement of mouse Insulin Receptor Substrate 4 (IRS4) levels, this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is a colorimetric immunoassay intended for research use only. The kit measures IRS4 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, with reactivity validated for mouse samples.

The assay has a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 8.0% and inter-assay CV of 10.0%. Reported linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions (N=5) covers serum at 99–109%, 95–105%, 84–94% and 115–125%; EDTA plasma at 86–99%, 92–105%, 98–108% and 109–119%; and heparin plasma at 93–105%, 91–101%, 80–91% and 89–102%. Average recovery is 83% (range 80–89%) for serum and 85% (range 80–91%) for plasma.

Functionally, IRS4 acts as an interface between tyrosine-kinase growth factor receptors — including the insulin receptor, IGF1R and FGFR1 — and intracellular SH2-domain signaling molecules. It participates in IGF1R mitogenic signaling, promotes AKT1 signaling and BAD phosphorylation during insulin stimulation, and contributes to growth, reproduction and glucose homeostasis. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant mouse IRS4 (UniProt Q9Z0Y7).
