Mouse Insulin-like growth factor I (Igf1) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of mouse Insulin-like growth factor I (IGF1). The kit is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and detects both natural and recombinant mouse IGF1 (synonyms: Somatomedin, IGF-I, Igf-1; UniProt P05017), a secreted protein in the metabolism research area. IGF1 promotes cell growth and development and contributes to the regulation of metabolism, cell survival and differentiation, with broader roles in tissue repair, muscle growth and bone density maintenance.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 39–2500 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 19.9 pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.6% and inter-assay CV is 7.5%. Linearity was 113–123% at 1:2, 81–91% at 1:4, 84–93% at 1:8 and 103–111% at 1:16 in serum (n=5); 110–120%, 96–108%, 85–95% and 102–114% in EDTA plasma (n=5); and 95–108%, 83–91%, 89–99% and 84–94% in heparin plasma (n=5). Recovery averaged 91% (range 85–97%) in serum and 93% (range 87–99%) in plasma.
