Description

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody assay developed for the quantitative measurement of the insulin receptor beta subunit in mouse samples. The kit is intended for research applications investigating insulin signaling, glucose uptake, and metabolism regulation, where the insulin receptor beta subunit serves as a relevant biomarker in studies of metabolic disorders and diabetes.

Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 0.563 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.938-60 ng/mL. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (80-100%), EDTA plasma (82-101%) and heparin plasma (85-102%) across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions (n=5 per sample type), with average recovery of 92% (serum), 95% (EDTA plasma) and 95% (heparin plasma).

The assay procedure uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin binding, and TMB color development read at 450 nm. Key incubation steps include primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, and HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, with the TMB substrate incubated in the dark for 10-20 minutes. Storage is recommended at 2-8°C for 12 months.
