Mouse INSL5/Insulin Like Protein 5 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a sandwich ELISA, double-antibody based kit designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Mouse INSL5 (Insulin-like Protein 5) concentrations in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The kit is reactive with mouse samples and is intended for Research Use Only.

The assay delivers a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a quantitative range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Reported recovery averages are 95% for serum (range 93–101%), 96% for EDTA plasma (range 92–101%) and 97% for UFH plasma (range 92–103%). Linearity has been demonstrated across serial dilutions (1:2, 1:4 and 1:8) in the same matrices. Intra-assay precision is reported as CV <8% and inter-assay precision as CV <10%. The standard curve is generated using a lyophilized standard and detection relies on a biotin-labelled antibody paired with HRP-streptavidin and a TMB substrate read at 450 nm.

INSL5 is a member of the insulin superfamily and, according to UniProt entry Q9WUG6, may play a role in gut contractility or thymic development and regulation, acting as a high-potency activator of the RXFP4 receptor. The annotated molecular weight is 15,524 Da. The kit is supplied with a dismountable 8×12 strip microplate and the reagents required to perform the assay, and should be stored at 4°C.
