Mouse Inhibin alpha chain (Inha) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of mouse Inhibin alpha chain (INHA, gene symbol Inha) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The kit uses a colorimetric detection method and is supplied for research use only, supporting work in reproductive biology, endocrine regulation, and cancer research.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 39.5pg/mL. Intra-assay precision is 6.5% CV and inter-assay precision is 7.6% CV. Linearity was assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with serum recovery averaging 97% (range 91-103%) and plasma recovery averaging 99% (range 93-105%). The assay is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Inhibin alpha chain.

INHA is the alpha subunit of the inhibin protein complex, which opposes activins and regulates follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) secretion, ovarian function and other reproductive processes. Inhibin-deficient mice are viable but acutely sensitive to gonadal sex-cord stromal tumour development. The target protein (UniProt Q04997) is a secreted disulfide-linked dimer belonging to the TGF-beta family, making the kit a useful tool for studying reproductive pathologies and related therapeutic areas.
