Mouse Indolethylamine N-methyltransferase (Inmt) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Indolethylamine N-methyltransferase (INMT). The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with mouse samples. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit detects both natural and recombinant mouse INMT, with a reported detection range of 0.625-40 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.318 ng/mL.

INMT is a cytoplasmic monomer enzyme (UniProt P40936) belonging to the NNMT/PNMT/TEMT family. It catalyzes the N-methylation of tryptamine and structurally related compounds, and also functions as a thioether S-methyltransferase active with a variety of thioethers and the corresponding selenium and tellurium compounds. It plays an important role in the detoxification of selenium compounds, with a molecular weight of 29,460 Da.
