From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Interleukin-7 (IL-7) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is intended for research use only and detects natural and recombinant mouse IL-7 with a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 7.92pg/mL.

Reported precision values include an intra-assay CV of 7.5% and an inter-assay CV of 9.7%. Recovery in serum averages 88% (range 82-94%) and in plasma averages 90% (range 84-96%). Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. The plate is read colorimetrically at 450 nm.

IL-7 is described as a hematopoietic growth factor that stimulates the proliferation of lymphoid progenitors and plays a role during certain stages of B-cell maturation, placing this kit within the immunology research area.
