IL-36 alpha (also called IL-1F6) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine of the IL-1 family that activates NF-kB and MAPK signaling through the IL-36 receptor, with established roles in psoriasis pathogenesis, mucosal immune regulation, and epithelial barrier defense. The assay runs as a standard ELISA workflow: pre-coated capture antibody binds analyte in standards and unknown samples, a biotinylated detection reagent forms the immune complex, streptavidin-HRP provides enzymatic amplification, and a chromogenic substrate yields absorbance proportional to IL-36 alpha concentration.
