Interleukin-2 receptor subunit beta (IL-2Rβ), also known as CD122, is the shared signaling component of receptors for IL-2 and IL-15 in mouse immune cells. This Assay Genie immunoassay enables quantification of soluble CD122 in research samples, supporting investigations of T lymphocyte and NK cell biology, cytokine signaling pathways, and immune regulation in murine experimental systems.

The kit is supplied as a complete package with pre-coated microwell strips, biotinylated detection antibody, recombinant mouse CD122 standard, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, substrate solution, and stop reagent. The protocol supports 96 individual determinations arranged as a standard curve plus unknown samples, with absorbance readout on a conventional microplate reader. Researchers commonly apply this kit to track changes in soluble receptor levels between experimental and control cohorts, for example comparing wild-type mice to gene-modified strains, or following immune challenge with viral, tumor, or autoimmune stimuli.

For specimen handling, collect blood by standard methods and process to cell-free supernatant promptly. Aliquot samples to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, refrigerate short-term working stocks, and keep frozen aliquots for archival storage to preserve analyte integrity. Bring all kit components to room temperature before initiating the assay, and protect light-sensitive reagents from prolonged exposure.

This product is intended for research use only and is validated for use with mouse samples. Applications include cytokine receptor profiling, immune cell phenotyping studies, pharmacodynamic assessment of IL-2 or IL-15 pathway modulation, and translational biomarker work in murine models of infection, oncology, and autoimmunity.
