Mouse IL-1RN ELISA Kit (MOEB0198)

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed to quantify mouse Interleukin-1 receptor antagonist protein (IL-1RN) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method, is reactive with mouse samples, and is intended for research use only within immunology research.

Performance figures supplied by the manufacturer include a detection range of 31.2-2000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 15.63 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.2% and an inter-assay CV of 7.7%. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Interleukin-1 receptor antagonist protein (UniProt P25085). Reported recovery is 87% (range 81-93%) for serum and 89% (range 83-95%) for plasma, with linearity ranges across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma as listed in the product specification.

IL1RN inhibits the activity of interleukin-1 by binding to receptor IL1R1 and preventing its association with the coreceptor IL1RAP for signaling, and has no interleukin-1-like activity. Dysregulation of IL1RN has been associated with various inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, making it a useful target for studies in mouse models of inflammation, immunity and disease pathology.
