Mouse IL-1r2 ELISA Kit (MOEB0063)

Designed by Assay Genie for the precise measurement of mouse IL-1r2 (interleukin-1 receptor type II, CD121b), this Sandwich ELISA quantitatively detects the target in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Interleukin-1 receptor type 2, with a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 40.2 pg/mL, read on a colorimetric basis.

Precision data report an intra-assay CV of 6.1% and an inter-assay CV of 8.4%. Recovery is reported at an average of 85% (range 80-91%) for serum and an average of 87% (range 81-93%) for plasma. Linearity was demonstrated across serial dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16): serum (N=5) gave 84-94%, 115-125%, 90-100% and 97-107%; EDTA plasma (N=5) gave 86-95%, 93-102%, 96-106% and 104-114%; and heparin plasma (N=5) gave 111-120%, 98-110%, 85-95% and 87-97%, respectively.

IL-1r2 (IL1R2) acts as a non-signaling decoy receptor for IL1A, IL1B and IL1RN, preferentially binding IL1B to reduce its activity by blocking interaction with IL1R1 and by forming non-signaling complexes with IL1RAP. The protein is a single-pass type I membrane protein found at the cell membrane and as a secreted isoform, belonging to the interleukin-1 receptor family.
