Mouse IL-1B ELISA Kit (MOEB0454)

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Interleukin-1 beta (IL-1B) in biological samples using a colorimetric detection method. The assay specifically recognises natural and recombinant mouse Interleukin-1 beta and is intended for research use only.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the kit delivers a detection range of 6.25–400 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 3.225 pg/mL. Precision is reported with an intra-assay CV of 4.5% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Linearity has been validated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with recoveries for serum averaging 97% (range 91–103%) and for plasma averaging 99% (range 93–105%).

The kit is suitable for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. IL-1B is described as a potent proinflammatory cytokine, originally characterised as the major endogenous pyrogen, with reported roles in prostaglandin synthesis, neutrophil influx and activation, T-cell and B-cell activation, and fibroblast proliferation and collagen production.
