Mouse IL-1A ELISA Kit (MOEB0067)

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of mouse Interleukin-1 alpha (IL-1A) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Interleukin-1 alpha and uses a colorimetric detection method.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 15.6-1000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 7.9 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 8.3% and an inter-assay CV of 9.8%. Average sample recovery is 90% for serum (range 84-96%) and 92% for plasma (range 86-98%). Linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions is reported as: Serum (N=5) 102-113% / 95-108% / 85-94% / 101-111%; EDTA plasma (N=5) 104-114% / 95-105% / 114-123% / 104-112%; Heparin plasma (N=5) 86-95% / 89-99% / 107-116% / 96-96%.

Interleukin-1 alpha (UniProt P01582) is a secreted monomer of approximately 31,023 Da. Produced by activated macrophages, it stimulates thymocyte proliferation by inducing IL-2 release, B-cell maturation and proliferation, and fibroblast growth factor activity. The protein is identified as an endogenous pyrogen involved in the inflammatory response. For research use only.
